Solution & Conclusion

Sopago uses SAP Business One Cloud to connect customer orders, material planning, inventory, and accounting. Four functions are particularly relevant for the company:

Planning multi-stage production

When a customer order is created in SAP Business One, the information is also available for production. Multi-level bills of materials (BOMs) show which production orders and materials are needed for execution. The MRP assistant helps with procuring missing components.

Overview of material requirements and inventory

Sopago can retrieve inventory levels by quantity and value. Some items are planned based on a minimum stock level, while others are ordered according to specific demand. This makes material planning for multi-stage production more transparent.

Trace batches and process steps

Items are assigned to batches. This allows Sopago to track which supplier a batch came from, what steps it went through within the company, and which customer it was delivered to. The linking diagram graphically represents related processes.

Process payments and accounting

During bank statement processing, payments are assigned to the corresponding receipts or general ledger accounts. The DATEV interface supports the accounting processes; generated journal entries can be exported to ADDISON at the end of the month.
